Would you believe that BVT will be celebrating its 50th season this summer?   To celebrate this milestone, on July 15-17 we will be hosting an alumni reunion.  It will be a time to renew old friendships, reminisce about the long nights of rehearsals, (Remember, “My how the time flies when you are having fun”, a favorite comment late at night?), the woodshedding, the many cups of lemonade and the homemade/store bought cookies, the many stories of Henry’s, and of course Phyllis’ “Oh, Henry “when she thought he was going too far with the story.  This will be a time to remember these and many other memories about our years at BVT.

The schedule for the three days of the celebration will allow for time to see shows, visit with old and new friends and of course bend an elbow if you are so inclined.  On Friday July 15 from 1:30-5:00 there will be an opportunity to come to BVT check out what is still the same and what has changed, and meet this year’s company members.  There will also be a tour of the Ruth Smith Theatre Residence.  At 5:00 we will meet at the River Inn Resort for dinner.  Coffee and tea will be provided, but if you want more there is a cash bar. There will be a performance at 7:30.  (Alumnus gets in free)  Following the show and our lemonade/cookie reception we will return to River Inn for more reminiscing and snacks.

On Saturday, July 16 at 2:00 there will be a show and reception.  At 4:30 we will board the Spirit of Brown for a dinner cruise on the Missouri.  Following the cruise we will return to BVT for a retrospect of the last 50 years, organized I hope, by past company members.  Greg Weinert has offered to help with this.  We will also take time to recognize and honor those who are no longer with us.  It will also be a time to thank Henry and Phyllis for all they did to make BVT what it is today. After the time at BVT we may again return to the River Inn for more traveling down memory lane.

Sunday July 17 at 2:00 there will be a show and an Ice Cream and Cake reception following the play. Sunday evening there will be a 7:30 show and reception.

If you want to be part of this exciting celebration please fill out the registration form on this page and mail checks for the Saturday evening dinner cruise ($15/person) to Brownville Village Theatre Reunion, Box 95, Brownville NE, 68321.   Checks should be made payable to Brownville Village Theatre Foundation.  You can also pay for your dinner cruise online via the PayPal option appearing below the registration form.
